What is a
nikah nama?
A nikah nama records details of an Islamic marriage ceremony. The wording and layout vary: some designs focus on the couple’s names and date, while others include spaces for ceremony details, mahr and signatures.
Mehrvar’s certificates are personalised printed keepsakes. The Turquoise Covenant has Arabic and English wording and spaces for mahr and signatures from the bride, groom and two witnesses. Check the preview of your chosen design for its particular layout.

THE PRINT / CHOOSING YOUR SIZE
A4 or A3?
A4 is the more compact keepsake. A3 gives the border and calligraphy more space on display. Both are unframed and printed on 300gsm smooth white matt uncoated card. Check your intended frame’s print opening before choosing.

YOUR NAMES / YOUR DAY

personalise.
- Choose your design and an available printed size.
- Prepare the bride’s full name, the groom’s full name and the actual nikah date in DD/MM/YYYY format.
- Check every spelling and the delivery address before payment. Any specific Hijri date you need can be discussed by email before ordering.
Allow 3–5 working days from payment for personalisation, preparation and dispatch, plus approximately 2–3 working days for UK tracked delivery. Contact us before ordering if you have an essential ceremony deadline.

A blank template is a starting point for completing a certificate yourself. A Mehrvar order is a personalised printed certificate: we add your full names and nikah date and send the finished print to your UK address.
