03 / BEHIND THE NAME
Faith at the centre.
Care in the details.
Mehrvar brings together the ceremony and the keepsake: the words spoken on your nikah day, and the page that carries their memory.
A name rooted in affection.
Mehrvar is a Persian word meaning affectionate or loving. To us, it speaks to the kindness, consideration and companionship that give a marriage its life.
A beautiful beginning is more than a moment. It is an intention to carry that care into the years ahead.

A LITTLE CLARITY
Before you
begin.
What does the nikah ceremony service include?
We begin with a conversation about your plans and preferences, and guide you through the arrangements for witnesses, mahr and the ceremony. The service brings together Qur’an recitation, the nikah, a thoughtful khutbah and du‘a, with delivery in Arabic and English. We discuss any personalised certificate you would like and confirm the inclusions, fee and travel arrangements before you book.
Can I book a nikah ceremony without buying a certificate?
Yes. The ceremony service and the nikah-nama collection are separate. Use the ceremony enquiry form to tell us your plans, with no obligation to choose a design.
Where do you offer nikah ceremonies?
Mehrvar is based in West Yorkshire and welcomes UK ceremony enquiries. Tell us your town or venue when you enquire; availability and any travel arrangements are confirmed before a booking is made.
What happens after I enquire?
We review your preferred date, time and location, then discuss the ceremony and provide a quote. Your booking is only confirmed once the arrangements and fee have been agreed.
Are these nikah-namas available to buy now?
All ten designs are shown with illustrative names and dates. All ten designs are available as personalised printed certificates. Unframed certificates are £49 in A4 and £69 in A3, including personalisation. UK tracked delivery and protective packaging are £6.95 per order. Payment is handled securely by Stripe. Each checkout is for one certificate. Confirm the design, enter both full names and the actual nikah date, then add your UK delivery address on the secure payment page.
Will I receive a printed certificate or a digital file?
Our collection is printed only. Digital downloads are not offered. Both full names and the actual nikah date will be personalised; the images shown are design previews.
What do you need to personalise my certificate?
Just the bride’s full name, the groom’s full name and the actual nikah date. Enter the spelling exactly as you’d like it printed at secure checkout, with the bride first and the groom second. Confirm the design and enter the actual nikah date in DD/MM/YYYY format. Your delivery and payment details are collected separately by Stripe.
When will my certificate be dispatched?
Please allow 3–5 working days from payment for personalisation, preparation and dispatch. Working days exclude weekends and UK bank holidays. Delivery time is additional. If any details need clarification, we will contact you and let you know about any change to dispatch.
